---COURSE SET-UP NOTES

Putting Green Speed – the average speed this morning was in the low 12s and will settle into the mid-upper 11s as the day goes on. Greens were single cut last night and they were double cut and rolled again this morning.

Water Management – due to the lingering effects of the 1.1 inches of rainfall that fell Wednesday evening; there was no need to apply water to the golf course as moisture levels were adequate.  However, we will be checking specific putting greens between waves to ensure appropriate moisture levels remain throughout the day.

Notes

Today’s yardage:

Total: 6,927

Back 9: 3,394

Hole #5 (into the wind) and #8 (downwind) are playing similar yardages on paper however they are playing opposite directions and today’s winds will have them hitting very different clubs into the greens

Front 9: 3,533

Hole #5 is playing 250 yards today to the hole location which will make it the longest Par-3 in the history of the U.S. Senior Open Championship.

For the first time since January 2019, The Warren Course has had 4 consecutive days without any measurable rainfall.
