The Frederick L. Dold Championship Trophy
U.S. Senior Amateur Championship
Presented annually by the USGA since 1955
The remarkable growth of senior golf and the development of numerous senior golf associations across the United States inspired the USGA to inaugurate the
U.S. Senior Amateur Championship in 1955. The art-deco trophy, produced by Rogers Brothers, features a gold-plated stem with blue enamel and a distinctive hand-hammered bowl. It was donated in 1955 by Frederick L. Dold, a USGA Executive Committee member, and serves as an iconic representation of the championship and a fitting tribute to its champions.
