Sarah has proven herself as an exceptional leader whose skill at forging new paths of opportunity and new ways of thinking are eclipsed only by her passion for sports and the inspiration athletes bring to all of us.

Sarah Hirshland informed me this week of her plans to take the helm of the U.S. Olympic Committee, a position for which she is both well-equipped and uniquely positioned to undertake. To have a member of our senior executive team rise to this position and lead a new era in U.S. Olympic sports is incredibly exciting and a proud moment for all of us at the USGA.

Through her time with us, Sarah has proven herself as an exceptional leader whose skill at forging new paths of opportunity and new ways of thinking are eclipsed only by her passion for sports and the inspiration athletes bring to all of us. We look forward to seeing her at future Olympic Games, knowing we have a great advocate for golf in her, and a solid visionary in sports.

We hope you will join us in wishing Sarah the very best, as we take a moment to celebrate what she has learned and accomplished during her time with us. The very best compliment we can be paid is for one of our own to boldly lead and extend her immense talent.

Sarah will remain with the USGA through mid-August to ensure a smooth transition.
