Top American women amateur golfers selected for the 2026 USA Curtis Cup Team practice session at Bel-Air Country Club, featuring Kiara Romero, Farah O’Keefe, Anna Davis and Asterisk Talley
Twelve of the nation’s top amateur golfers—including Kiara Romero, Farah O’Keefe, Anna Davis and Asterisk Talley—have been invited by the USGA to a practice session ahead of the 2026 Curtis Cup Match at Bel-Air Country Club in Los Angeles.

Two new players have secured positions on the 2026 USA Curtis Cup Team through the Women’s World Amateur Golf Ranking® (WAGR®) as of April 8, while another has been added via the USGA Team Selection Committee, the USGA announced today, as the roster for this summer’s Match begins to take shape.

Kiara Romero, the No. 1-ranked player in the world, was already assured of a place on the team after earning the 2025 Mark H. McCormack Medal, awarded annually to the top-ranked amateur golfer. The 20-year-old University of Oregon junior will make her Curtis Cup debut after serving as an alternate in 2024.

Romero has continued to establish herself among the game’s elite amateurs. The two-time First Team All-American claimed victories at the Chevron Collegiate in February and the Charles Schwab Women’s Collegiate Invitational in March and recently posted a top-five finish at the Augusta National Women’s Amateur. In 2025, she advanced to the quarterfinals of the U.S. Women’s Amateur, finished T-7 in the LPGA Tour’s Portland Classic and made the cut in both the U.S. Women’s Open Presented by Ally and the CPKC Women’s Open. She also represented the United States in the Arnold Palmer Cup in 2024 and 2025.

Farah O'Keefe, ranked No. 4 in the world, holds the second automatic position as the next-highest-ranked American. A junior at the University of Texas, O’Keefe will also make her Curtis Cup debut and has already recorded three collegiate victories in 2026.

In 2025, the two-time All-American finished runner-up in the Women’s Amateur Championship in Scotland, reached the round of 16 in the Women’s Western Amateur, made the cut in the U.S. Women’s Open and represented the United States in both the Arnold Palmer Cup and the Women’s World Amateur Team Championship. O’Keefe and Romero are both members of the U.S. National Development Program’s Elite Amateur squad.

Megha Ganne, ranked No. 7 in the world, had secured a position on the team by virtue of her victory in the 2025 U.S. Women’s Amateur and was in line to claim the third WAGR automatic spot. However, she intends to turn professional prior to the Curtis Cup and will not compete.

With Ganne declining her position, the spot is awarded to Asterisk Talley, the next-highest-ranked American at No. 9 in the world. The 17-year-old will make her second Curtis Cup appearance after competing in the 2024 Match at Sunningdale Golf Club, where she defeated then-No. 1-ranked amateur Lottie Woad in Sunday singles.

Talley has built one of the most accomplished junior resumes in the game. She opened 2026 with victories at the Fortinet Stanford Invitational and the Girls’ Junior Invitational, and in 2025, captured the Girls’ Junior PGA Championship. A four-time junior All-American and three-year member of the U.S. National Junior Team, she also won the 2024 U.S. Women’s Amateur Four-Ball and has runner-up finishes in the U.S. Girls’ Junior, U.S. Women’s Amateur and Augusta National Women’s Amateur. Since 2024, she has represented the United States in the Curtis Cup, Junior Solheim Cup and Junior Ryder Cup.

Anna Davis has also been added to the team as a committee selection. Davis, who competed for the USA in the 2024 Curtis Cup, first rose to prominence with her victory in the 2022 Augusta National Women’s Amateur at age 16.

Now a junior at Auburn University and a two-time All-American, Davis won twice during the fall portion of the 2025-26 collegiate season. Prior to the start of her third collegiate campaign, she advanced to the quarterfinals of the Women’s Amateur Championship in Scotland and the Round of 32 in the U.S. Women’s Amateur. Since 2023, she has represented the United States in the Junior Solheim Cup, Junior Ryder Cup, Women’s World Amateur Team Championship, Arnold Palmer Cup and Curtis Cup. She is also a member of the USNDP’s Elite Amateur squad.

These four players will represent the United States in the 44th Curtis Cup Match, June 12-14 at Bel-Air Country Club in Los Angeles, Calif., where they will face Great Britain & Ireland. They will be captained by four-time U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur champion Meghan Stasi, who also captained the USA Team in 2024.

The Curtis Cup Match features teams of eight female amateur players. The remaining players will be selected by the Selection Committee following the NCAA Division I Regional events. The USA has won three of the last four matches (2018, 2021, 2022) and leads the all-time series, 31-9-3. However, GB&I took the last Match 10.5-9.5, their first victory since 2016.
