The World Golf Hall of Fame (WGHOF) today announced the list of Finalists for the Class of 2027:

Male Competitors
Competitors who are at least 45 years old during the year of an Induction Ceremony or retired from competitive golf for at least three years:

"The Finalists for the Class of 2027 represent an extraordinary range of accomplishments and contributions to the game of golf," said Mike Trostel, director of the World Golf Hall of Fame. "This distinguished group deserves recognition for the lasting impact they made on the sport in their own way as competitors, teachers, architects, broadcasters and innovators."

The WGHOF received 162 public nominations for the Class of 2027. Each nominee was vetted by a Nominating Committee which was divided into four working groups representing each of the four categories. Each group included a chair and 12 members comprised of media, WGHOF members and golf industry professionals. 

A Selection Committee of 24 individuals, comprised of media, WGHOF members and the WGHOF Board of Directors, will meet later this fall to vote and determine the final class. A finalist must receive 75 percent of the vote to be elected. The Class of 2027 inductees will be announced in December.

The WGHOF Board of Directors are Terry Clark (PGA of America), Mark Darbon (The R&A), Will Jones (Masters Tournament), Craig Kessler (LPGA), Guy Kinnings (DP World Tour), Brian Rolapp (PGA Tour) and Mike Whan (USGA).  

The 2027 Induction Ceremony will take place on Monday, July 12, 2027, in St Andrews, Scotland, during the week of The Open Championship. The ceremony will be broadcast live on Golf Channel in the United States.
