LIBERTY CORNER, N.J. (Mar. 15, 2019) – The USGA and Winged Foot Golf Club today announced that volunteer applications for the 2020 U.S. Open are now available. The 2020 U.S. Open is scheduled for June 15-21 at Winged Foot, which is located in Mamaroneck, N.Y.

For the U.S. Open Championship, approximately 4,500 unpaid volunteers are needed to fill positions on more than 19 committees, including Fan and Hospitality Services, Marshals, Merchandising, On-Course Operations and Scoring. Volunteer opportunities are largely granted on a first-come, first-served basis and will require a minimum commitment of four (4) shifts, with each shift lasting between four (4) to six (6) hours.

All 2020 U.S. Open volunteers will be required to purchase the Volunteer Apparel Package for $185. This package will include apparel pieces specifically designed for the championship, a credential valid for all seven (7) days of the championship and a meal voucher for each assigned shift. The Volunteer Apparel Package will consist of two golf shirts, a wind jacket, a piece of headwear and a water bottle.
