Kevin Hammer

USGA President

Kevin Hammer, of Boynton Beach, Fla., is in his fifth year as a member of the Executive Committee and was elected president of the USGA in 2026.

Hammer spent 10 years as a member of the Florida State Golf Association Executive Committee and recently completed his second and final year as FSGA president. A former first-team American Junior Golf Association All-American, Hammer played collegiately at the University of Florida and has qualified for multiple USGA championships.

On the USGA Executive Committee, Hammer has concentrated on expanding the game and fostering the next generation of American golfers at every level of the sport. He chaired the USGA Championship Committee and served on the Compensation & Leadership Development, Governance, Investment, International Team Selection and Nominating Committees. During that time, he led a future site strategy to bring all 15 USGA championships to the finest venues in the country, including the U.S. Open, U.S. Women’s Open, Walker Cup, and Curtis Cup. He has also supported the U.S. National Development Program, which provides training, development and funding for the country’s most talented junior players. 

Professionally, Hammer is a managing director, wealth management advisor, and portfolio manager at Bank of America / Merrill Lynch. For more than 23 years, Hammer and his team have managed investments for individuals, families, foundations and professional athletes.
