Chris Fraser

Chief Legal and Human Resources Officer

Chris brings three decades of legal and business experience to the USGA, as well as a lifelong passion for the game, growing up playing public courses in central New Jersey. Prior to joining the USGA in 2017, Chris served as senior vice president, deputy general counsel for HP, Inc., where he led a team of 50 legal professionals and oversaw commercial, HR, antitrust, regulatory, and general corporate matters globally. In addition to his legal duties, Chris also oversees the USGA Human Resources Team.

He has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame, as well as a master’s degree in journalism and juris doctor from Columbia University.
