The Mildred Gardinor Prunaret Trophy

U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship

Presented annually by the USGA since 1987

In 1987, the USGA established the U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur to showcase the game’s greatest female amateur golfers who are 25 years of age and older. The championship demonstrates the USGA’s long-standing commitment to women’s golf, while acknowledging the need for a competitive arena for post- college amateurs. The trophy is a sterling silver rose bowl of Paul Revere design that was presented in 1987 by Mildred Gardinor Prunaret, who served as chairman of the USGA Women’s Committee from 1959 to 1963.
