USGA Executive Committee

Anthony Anderson, of Chicago, Ill., is entering his sixth year as a member of the USGA Executive Committee.

Anderson served as the Vice Chair and Midwest Area Managing Partner of Ernst & Young (EY), a global assurance, tax, transaction and advisory services firm, until his retirement in 2012. During his 35-year career with EY, Anderson oversaw a practice of over 4,000 audit, tax, and transaction professionals serving clients throughout the Midwest and served for six years in the Los Angeles area as managing partner of EY’s Pacific Southwest region. Mr. Anderson also served as a member of EY’s governing body, the Americas Executive Board.

Currently, he serves on the boards of several public and private companies. He also served on the boards of Perspectives Charter Schools (chairman) and World Business Chicago (executive committee). Anderson attended Chicago State University, where he earned his B.S. in Accounting.

Anderson started playing golf at age 28 after receiving his first set of clubs from a client who challenged him to play. Citing camaraderie among golfers as one of the greatest gifts the game provides, he calls Chicago Golf Club and Los Angeles Country Club his home courses.

In 2024, Anderson will chair the Foundation committee and serve on the Championship, Equipment Standards (JESC) and Finance, Audit & Risk committees.
